Does Taking a One-Day Leave Affect My PF Contribution for the Month?

Hi all, My salary is $12,000, and the PF slab decided by the company is $780 for salaries above $9,500. Can anyone let me know if taking a one-day leave affects the PF amount for that month? I was informed that the PF for that month changes even if the salary for that month is $11,600 (excluding the 1 day of leave).

I assume this is your first job. PF is related to your basic, i.e., 12% of your basic. Suppose your basic is Rs. 9000, your PF contribution will be Rs. 1080 per month. If you have taken leave but the leave was termed as without pay due to no leave balances, then the salary for that month will certainly change, which will affect the basic and ultimately your PF contribution as well.
