Hi,
I remember a story which I came across somewhere about 10 years ago. I can't recall whether I heard it or read it, but I would like to share it with all of you.
An organization needed to fill a position for an art designer and announced the vacancy. Out of 55 candidates who applied, 2 candidates were shortlisted and were sent letters for the final selection process. The letter instructed the candidates to submit a good, quality, efficient, and innovative design or painting, which would ultimately determine the chosen candidate.
The first candidate submitted a beautiful painting that was very eye-catching. However, the second candidate only sent a written letter without including any painting or design.
Surprisingly, the management decided to select the second candidate. The offer letter was issued, and the candidate joined the organization.
Guess what might have happened. Why was the second candidate chosen over the first? What could be the moral of this story?
