As you may or may not be aware, a new combined Challan for PF & ESI payments has been implemented, effective from 01-04-10. (One copy of the circular and Challan is attached). I have a few questions regarding this change:
1. The payment dates are different for PF & ESI. What is the payment date through this Challan?
2. How many copies are required to be submitted?
3. If an organization has more than one subcode for ESI, how should they make separate payments for ESI & PF?
4. How do we submit the returns for ESI and PF? For PF Return - Monthly (A triplicate copy of the Challan is required with the Return) and ESI Return - Half-yearly (Triplicate copies of the six months' Challans are required.)
If anyone has answers to the above-mentioned questions, please let me know.
