Can Employees Still Get PF and Gratuity Benefits After 58 with Board Extension?

Hello seniors,

I would like to know your views on the following. Please advise: An employee of a cooperative society is eligible for PF and gratuity benefits after reaching the superannuation age of 58 years, if he is granted an extension by the board resolution?

Thanks in advance,

If the cooperative society where you have been working is covered by EPF and you have pensionable service of at least 10 years, you will start receiving a monthly pension upon reaching the age of 58. You can continue to work in the society as well. From the date of superannuation, you need not contribute to PF.

Regarding Gratuity, if you have eligible service of five years, you will receive gratuity, and the same can be settled at your superannuation. Alternatively, you can be paid gratuity once you are relieved at a future date after the extended service.
