Amendment To Gratuity Act To Amend Difinition Of "Employees"

A copy of Notification amending the definition of "Employees" is attached. This will enable the teachers to be covered under Gratuity Act.

Will the Amendment to Gratuity Act benefit the school teachers in the privately managed schools ?
So far, most of these school managements do not give gratuity to the retiring teachers.
