Advancing Studies After PGDBA in HR: PhD Eligibility and Options

I have completed my PGDBA in HR from Symbiosis, Pune. I wanted to know which other course I should pursue now to continue my advanced studies in HR.

Yes, after PGDBM, we are eligible to do a Ph.D. directly. However, it is preferred that you do an M.Phil so that you get a lot of inputs.

In my knowledge, UGC doesn't recognize postgraduate diplomas for MPhil and PhD. However, I would like to clarify this doubt. Also, can anyone suggest if a PGDBA is not valid for a PhD, should I enroll in a part-time master's degree (MBA/MCom) from IGNOU? Will that be valid for a PhD and beneficial for me?
