Withdrawing PF - Providend Fund

After how many years can you withdraw your providend fund after resigning from a company. Is there a time frame within which you have to apply to withdraw your providend fund, or can you claim it even 3 or 4 years after leaving the company?

We don't have any time limit to withdraw the PF. As most of the time most of the organisation don't provide your the PF clearance form. You just need to get the Stamped PF withrawn form from the company and the amount will be credited in to your a/c...

hi Benjamin,
You can withdraw your PF after n number of years, and you have to take PF clearance form also form your last company. But do remember one thing, withdraw your PF amount after completion of 5 years from the resignation of that particular company as Govt. deduct 30% as a tax if you withdraw it before 5 years.

I am from Bangalore, Ineed to check, its almost 5 years me leaving my previous company and I wanted to withdraw my PF. I checked the company is closed couple of years back. How should I proceed with the claiming of my PF funds. Please advise.
