Hi! I am just a new member and I would like to ask if some of you might have a sample skills matrix for HR personnel. Or maybe you can help or guide me in making or preparing one.

Many thanks, and I am earnestly hoping for your responses.

Hi Haresh,

Please provide more details. Which sub-functions of HR are you looking at, and what are the levels?

Thank you,
Bingle

Hi Haresh,

Thank you for your response. I need a skills matrix for HR Personnel for Recruitment, Benefits, Compensation, and Training. The position level is at the Associate level – still rank and file but with 1 to 2 subordinates (considered "leader" level in our company).

Again, thank you, and I hope you could assist me with this.

Each sub-function requires different skills and also changes at various levels. Some skills will remain common across the entire function. It also depends on the organization/industry you work with.

You can use a ready-made copy-paste skill matrix, but that may not be the optimal solution. I would suggest listing the skills you believe each sub-function/role requires to deliver at an optimum level. Once you complete the list, determine the expertise level needed for each skill. This will be greatly influenced by the organization/industry you work in. You then need to validate this with people around you.

I have provided you with food for thought to start your journey. Should you need help along the way, feel free to interact with me at [Login to view].

All the Best,
