Respected sir/madam,
I am studying international business at Gotland University, Sweden. I am working on my thesis on the "Competency Level of Soft and Hard Skills of Human Resource in Private Firms in India."
Many foreign firms are outsourcing their functions to India mainly due to cheap labor, not for the quality of manpower. For example, in the software industry, though we excel in hard skills, we lack proficiency in soft skills. Therefore, developing both sets of skills is crucial in any industry. Enhancing these skill levels will improve the pay packages of the poorly paid workforce in India. How can we improve this situation? Please share your views on this topic to contribute to my thesis.
I aim to explore the problems, scope, and the need for training and development in India. Additionally, I intend to compare the differences in training methods and styles between India and Sweden.
As training and development is a vast subject, I am focusing on in-house training and some aspects of outhouse training.
Please find my questionnaire in the attached file and kindly respond to me at prateekcapoor@yahoo.com at your earliest convenience. If you have any facts or information related to this subject, I would appreciate it if you could share them with me. Also, please forward this questionnaire to your colleagues.
I hope you will participate in my research. I am looking forward to your feedback, responses, and views.
Please send all your information and views to prateekcapoor@yahoo.com.
Thank you very much.
Kind Regards,
Prateek Capoor
