Can Employers Have Different PF Numbers for Branches in Different States? Let's Discuss

Nirmal Kumar Sahu
Dear All,

One question - can an employer open different PF numbers for different branches as per state-wise regulations?

I believe an employer can only have one PF number that applies to all locations in India.

Hi everybody,

I am in a critical situation as one of the employees did not choose the scheme certificate for settlement; I opted for the scheme certificate instead. She received her scheme certificate but is not continuing her job as she has gotten married. She wants that money, but the PF officer is stating that she can only access the funds at the age of 58.

Is there any solution that would allow her to access her money now? If anyone knows what I should do, kindly reply.

Dear Lavanya,

Mr. Nirmal has made a query, and instead of replying to his query, you changed the topic and placed your question. You put a separate query. Yes, Nirmal, basically, you can go with one code only, which is easier to handle. Otherwise, many codes will be generated, and you have to send all returns separately. However, there is no restriction; you can take branch-wise subcodes and maintain all records for wages, attendance, and returns separately.

Thank you.
