For VLOOKUP, you should have data in an Excel file where there is at least 1 column common in both sheets. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Select the common column and put a comma.
2. Then select the common column sheet from the other file and, with a click-and-shift, go up to the columns where you want to pull data and drag it up to the last row of this sheet.
3. Then put a comma.
4. Specify the number of columns.
5. Put a comma.
6. Enter "false".
7. Press Enter or Tab.
