Confused About Reapplying for PF Refund? Here's How to Navigate the Process

London555
I have received the PF refund from the PF office, but it was rejected by my bank since the first name was not expanded in their records, while the PF office has sent it with the expanded full name. Please let me know how I can reapply for the provident fund refund. I heard that I need to fill out the reauthorization form available at the PF office, have it attested by the previous employer, and send it back to the PF office. Someone also advised me to send an application to the PF office asking them to resend the amount, explaining the situation, and sending it through registered post. I am confused and unsure of what to do. Please advise on the best course of action for me to obtain the refund as soon as possible. Where can I obtain the reauthorization form? Should I start from scratch again with form 10 & 19? I am very confused. Please help me.

Dear 555,

First of all, when you have sent your P.F. form to the P.F. office, at that time, you need to check your bank name details. If you do so, you will not face this type of problem. But don't worry; for your information, there is no reauthorization form in the P.F. office. You have to submit your claim to the P.F. office again on Form 19 & 10C duly attested by the previous employer with the bold letter heading on Form REAUTHORIZATION CASE.

But before sending the form, please ensure that your bank details and P.F. office details match. If they do not match, you will have to submit an affidavit to the bank as a declaration that both names belong to you.

Thanks,
(SK)

Hello,

I have been asked to submit the re-authorization form for the same issue. I googled the form and found it on your website. I am attaching the form for you. If it is the right form, could you please guide me on:

1) What details need to be filled in the reference section?
2) What needs to be filled in the sentence "AG under copy to the undersigned"?

Also, please let me know how long it takes to get a refund after the re-authorization process. I am awaiting your response.

Thanks,
Rahul Jain

One of the employees who worked on a contract basis at the time of joining had the contractor fill out her PF form. By mistake, her name was written incorrectly, and she is receiving slips with the wrong name. Now, she wishes to withdraw her PF amount. The question is whether she should write her real name or the wrong name on the withdrawal form. If she writes her wrong name, she will receive a cheque in the wrong name, which will not be cleared by the bank. On the other hand, if she writes her correct name, there will be a mismatch with the PF records. Seniors, please suggest what she should do now.

Hello, sir,

My issue is that on 15th Sep 2017, my PF settlement was done via NEFT. However, when I checked with the bank, the amount was not credited to my account. Upon contacting the PF office, they informed me that my account number was incorrectly entered, which is why the claim status shows the final settlement as done. Can you please advise me on what steps I should take to resolve this final settlement issue?

Dear All,

I have made a PF payment for the month of January 2018, but there was an error that occurred while awaiting payment. As a result, I cancelled the ECR file and prepared a new challan for the payment. However, my bank debited the amount twice. Therefore, I kindly request guidance on the process to refund the excess amount.

Thank you.
