Is My SAP-HR Certification from an Unauthorized Institution Worth Anything in the Job Market?

jrsbalaji
Hi Everyone,

I've completed an SAP-HR course from an unauthorized institution in Chennai a few months ago. Since I can't afford the high fees charged by Siemens, I chose to do the course this way. I want to know from seniors whether this certification from such institutions will have any recognition in the corporate world.

Certifications don't matter, Balaji; only your skills speak. All the SAP HR consultants working are not certified.

Dear Balaji,

I am also in a similar situation to yours, and yes, certification is not essential when you possess good skills and knowledge in SAP HR. I have completed my SAP HR course and am now waiting for the right opportunity to find a job in this field. In the meantime, I will work on enhancing my knowledge and skills in this ERP.

Thank you,

Dear Balaji Sir,

I am in the second semester of my MBA and would like to major in HR. I am trying to be proactive - should I look into SAP-HR now, or should I wait? What else should I consider apart from this? Currently, I am working on a project on Reward and Recognition. Your guidance would be of great value.

Thank you.

Dear All,

Thanks for your responses. I completed my SAP-HR training from PSP TECH in Chennai. Currently, they have ceased SAP training and are focusing on ORACLE training instead. The issue I am facing is that I have not been able to secure a role in implementation or support. The only job offer I received was for an end user position, which does not interest me.

I am aware of individuals with limited SAP skills who have landed positions in top IT companies simply because they underwent SAP training at Siemens. This is why I am seeking advice on whether the course I completed is sufficient, or if I should pursue certification from authorized institutions.

Regards,
Balaji
