For entry-level software engineers, straight out of college with no experience, what are the salaries that are offered? Kindly let me know your company standards. My company is based in Chennai, but figures from all over India are welcome.

I believe it would depend more on the skill set, type of job being hired for, resource availability in the market, and the position for which the hiring is made. The scale of the company would also matter, such as small organizations, MNCs, large organizations, etc.

However, if you are currently working in HR, you can also determine this by observing the existing trends in your organization.

Kind of Job: Software Engineering

Skills: As mentioned, we are talking about fresh engineering graduates, so no special skills are required other than their degrees.

Market: Availability in the market is a vague statement, so let's not consider that.

Scale of Company: Mine is small, but I welcome fresher salary figures from all scales of companies. That's not a limiting factor.

Existing Trend: There is none currently in my company, and that's why I am here to ask for opinions.

Kindly let me know the annual salary that your company offers for inexperienced fresh engineering graduates (UG) just out of college for software development jobs. I am waiting for your responses.
