How Do Companies Create Fair Employee Grading Systems? Seeking Policy Examples and Advice

I am Sagar Joshi working as Sr. Executive – HR in new setup Pharmaceutical Company. I am in process to make the HR policy regarding employee grading system (grades & designations) for a uniform, stable and reasonably of all employees. I want to know how the companies adopt the different systems to grade their employees.
Anybody have any related draft copy of policy or word format for grade system where we can benefit from, please share with me.

I read about your subject, and I suggest that initially, you should establish connections with others. This means, firstly, build social relations with people in the organization. Understand how they operate within their organization, what techniques they use to achieve their targets, and how they enhance their organizational productivity.

When a person is engrossed in their business, they often have little time to think about other matters. Therefore, my advice to you is to take some time, contemplate your destination carefully, and then proceed to your point. Otherwise, you may witness many people collapsing rapidly.

It would not be legal for an HR to share the Grading policy document as it involves budgetary, legal, and business model-related decisions. Hence, I suggest the following:

Prepare a document based on your own ideas according to the situational requirements. Keep it vague initially to enhance your learning points.

Benchmark a company or a group of companies, perhaps your competitors or industry leaders in your vertical.

Then, start approaching seniors in your field to validate your document.

Involve extensive research in the process. Initially, you may not receive any inputs, so conceptualize and communicate.
