Leaving Infosys Training: What Are the Steps and Can I Avoid Paying a Settlement?

ravennarula
Hi,

I have been working as a trainee at Infosys Mysore for 3 months. I want to quit Infosys now due to some family issues and the availability of further study options near my home. Does anybody know the formalities I need to complete, and if I need to pay any settlement amount, how much do I need to pay? Is there any way I can avoid paying this amount?

Thank you

Yes, I have. It says we are under a contract for a year from the day we enter production. I am currently a trainee and will enter production after another two months of training. The contract does not specify the amount to be paid.

Hi,

It would be great if you could have a Vis-à-Vis discussion with your HR Manager. They are the correct persons to help solve your problem. They will guide you with the company's terms and conditions for your relieving.

All the best.

Quitting any job or training is very easy; you just have to write two lines on paper stating that you are resigning and request relieving. Then follow the process of clearance and relieving as informed by the HR Dept.

More importantly, you should make a decision about quitting after due deliberations. I am not sure why you are quitting. I do not see any substantial reason for quitting. If you were to quit within 3 months, then why did you join Infosys in the first place? Consult seniors, friends, and family members before making any decision. Are you sure you have a better option by quitting Infosys? I feel your opinion will not have much depth and value in this case, since you are young and inexperienced. You should definitely seek the opinions of seniors and those with long industry experience.

Regarding relieving formalities, contact Infosys's HR Dept., and they will guide you through the process.

Do you have to pay any money? The answer is to go through your appointment letter; surely, you will find a relevant clause there. Otherwise, contact the HR Dept. to have clarity on this.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Raven,

My advice is that you contact your HR department right away, and they will tell you what to do. Don't feel hesitant to take their help. For them, it is part of their role and responsibility. Just as they helped you to get on board, they will also assist you in getting off-board. Remember, you are not the first person to resign from INFOSYS. They will surely help you with the best of attitudes. Good luck and test out what I and some others have suggested. You will be amazed that this was such a simple solution.

For 3 months of training, Infy's is spending Rs. 2.5 lakhs per candidate. It is better to ask Infy's HR and openly tell them about your problem.

With Thanks and Regards,

Finally, what did you do? What were the formalities you had to face? How much did you pay? Please answer my questions. I need the answer.
