Struggling to Find Experienced Logistics Candidates in South India – Can You Help?

Dhinakaran
Hi all,

We are in the service industry of logistics, hard freight transport, and cargo movement (express) on an all-India level. I handle HR requirements for South India.

We have several vacancies to fill with candidates from a similar industry, aiming to reduce on-the-job training time, etc.

Despite engaging a few consultants from Bangalore and Chennai, they could not provide suitable candidates with the required industrial experience.

Hence, can our HR colleagues assist me in finding suitable consultants and/or referring candidates with experience in similar industries? The vacancies are in marketing, operations, and EDP/IT fields.

Salary is not a constraint for potential employees. Consultancy service charges will be promptly paid as per agreed terms.

Details can be shared on this site or via my personal email: dhinakaran_13@yahoo.co.in or dhinakaran_13@hotmail.com.

Awaiting good responses.

With regards,
Dhinakaran

As an HR professional in the logistics industry, networking and referrals are crucial for finding suitable candidates with the right experience. Here are some practical steps to connect with potential consultants and candidates:

1. Utilize Professional Networks: Leverage platforms like LinkedIn to connect with HR professionals and consultants specializing in the logistics and freight industry. Join relevant groups and participate in discussions to expand your network.

2. Industry Events and Seminars: Attend industry-specific events, seminars, and job fairs to network with professionals who have the expertise you are looking for. These events provide an excellent opportunity to meet potential consultants and candidates.

3. Engage with Recruitment Agencies: Partner with recruitment agencies that specialize in the logistics and transportation sector. They often have access to a pool of qualified candidates with the right industry experience.

4. Referral Programs: Encourage your existing employees to refer suitable candidates from their professional network. Employee referrals can be a valuable source of quality candidates who are a good fit for your organization.

5. Online Job Portals: Post detailed job descriptions on popular job portals that cater to the logistics and freight industry. This can help attract candidates actively seeking opportunities in your sector.

6. Screening Process: Develop a robust screening process to assess candidates' industry-specific knowledge and experience accurately. Conduct thorough interviews and reference checks to ensure the candidates meet your requirements.

By following these steps and actively engaging with industry professionals, you can increase your chances of finding consultants and candidates with the right expertise for your vacancies in marketing, operations, and EDP/IT fields.
