Help - Experience Letter Problem

jinneebhat
I did a big blunder by resigning from my organization while on leave. Thereafter they send me threats etc. Now they have send me a big amount as my settlement amount that I need to pay (i was under onsite service bond when i resigned).
I am ready to pay but the HR person is not giving me any confirmation about my experience letter.
I fear
1. They may not give me an experience letter even after my settlement.
2. Even if they do, they might put too much negative in it. He already told me that reason to resign shall be "abandonement oif job"
Please help me decide what to do?
Thanks in advance

Dear J Bhat :

Pls give more details as to your date of joining, the period of bond - for how many years, how did you send the resignation letter and the proof for having sent the mail.

However, since you have resigned the services of the Organisation during your leave, you cannot be termed as abandoned the services. (we hope that the leave is an approved leave duly approving your leave and your resignation letter is dated within this period of approved leave).

With regard to your relieving letter or experience letter :

a) since you are ready to pay the bond amount as per the agreement,

b) presuming that you have returned all the materials including lap-tops, mobile, CDs, files, docs etc to the concerned at the Organisation and had obtained the certificate to that effect

c) and had cleared all the dues pending against you including the advances you had taken,

we do not find any reason why should the HR dept deny you the relieving letter/experience letter.

May be you can contact the chief of the HR dept and put forth your facts and the no due clearance certificates from all the concerned depts/divisions and we are sure the Chief of HR would do the needful with the same.

Pls try to contact the higher officials in person and explain your need for the experience letter and the reaons you had to resign from the good organisation such as the one you were serving etc etc.

All the best and Good Luck.

Thanks a lot for the guidance.
I have 2.5 years experience in that organisation and have returned all the dues to them and got the receipts. They simply say that since your manager did not approve of your resignation, we do not give you the relieving letter.
I resigned by submitting a resignation mail from official mail id.
Can you tell me if the reason of resign been put as "abandonement of job" be a big negative factor for applications like visas or even change of jobs?
