PF is not to be deducted from PL encashment amount. This deduction was mandatory for sometime during 2007-08 but later on this has been withdrawan......
PF deduction on Leave Encashment is not necessary. Land mark judgement given by Justice K.Chandru of Madras High Court way back in 2008. Subsequently it was upheld/followed in Manipal Acadmeny case by Supreme Court.
Thereafter the EPFO notified not to deduct from leave encashment.
