Is Leave Encashment Still Subject to PF Deductions? Seeking Latest Updates

Can somebody provide me with the latest notification from PF authorities, stating that no more deductions should be made on Leave Encashment.

Hello Sir,

Yes, PF will not be deducted on Leave encashment w.e.f. 01-Apr-2008 as per PF Dept. Notification. Please find the attached copy of the notification.

Hi,

PF is not to be deducted from PL encashment amount. This deduction was mandatory for some time during 2007-08, but later on, this has been withdrawn.

PF deduction on Leave Encashment is not necessary.

Landmark judgement given by Justice K. Chandru of Madras High Court way back in 2008. Subsequently, it was upheld/followed in the Manipal Academy case by the Supreme Court. Thereafter, the EPFO notified not to deduct from leave encashment.
