Hi, could anybody please clarify the attrition formula for me? I have gone through various posts and am a bit confused about it.
Hypothetical Example:
Opening Headcount: 2812
200 new joiners
65 resignations for the month
Thus, the closing Headcount = 2812 + 200 - 65 = 2947
Is it:
1. Attrition for the month/Total Headcount * 100 = (65/(2812+200)) * 100 = 2.15% or,
2. Attrition for the month/(Opening Headcount + Closing Headcount)/2 * 100 = 65/(2812+2947)/2 * 100 = 2.25%
