Creating a Maintenance Checklist for Hotel Assets
In order to create a maintenance checklist, you need to list the hotel assets. Most assets are typically segregated into the following categories:
- Furniture (chairs, tables in rooms & offices, restaurant furniture, beds)
- Machines (PCs, laptops, telephones, printers, faxes, mobile phones, scanners, shredders, cars, gym equipment, all equipment in the restaurant, hotel shops, laundry room, hotel rooms)
- Stationery (all stationery used in the hotel)
Please find attached an Excel document with the Maintenance Plan checklist and asset list. This is a draft, so feel free to add or remove any items as needed.
Note:
- For a hotel with rooms used by different people, daily maintenance checks are necessary.
- When purchasing machinery, ensure there is a service agreement with the vendor. Once the warranty period expires, the hotel must conduct its own maintenance and service checks regularly. When the machine's book value reaches 0, management can decide on the method of discarding or disposing of the items.
Thank you.
