In order to make a maintenance check list you need to make a list of hotel assets and mainly most assets are segregated in to the following:
Furniture ( all chairs, tables, in rooms & offices, restaurants, beds )
Machines (PC, laptops, telephones, Printers, faxes, Mobile phone, scanners, shredders, Cars, gym equipment, all equipments at the restaurant, all equipments at the hotel shops, all equipment at laundry room, all equipments in hotel rooms)
Stationery ( all stationeries used in the hotel)
Attached please find excel document with Maintenance Plan check list & asset check list. This is just a draft you can add, remove any items in it you don’t have to restrict yourself to it.
Note:
•For a place like hotel with rooms been used by different people a maintenance check have to be done on a daily basis.
•On Purchase of machinery ensure you have service agreement with the vendor. Once the warranty period is over then the hotel needs to do its own maintenance and service check on a regular basis. Until the book value of the machine is 0 then the management can decide on method of discarding/ disposing of the items
