Is a Distance Learning M.A. in Psychology Worth It While Teaching? Seeking Advice!

I am currently pursuing my B.Ed. I want to do my Master's in Psychology. Can I do my Psychology through distance education? But I was told it has no value at all. Is that true? Please help, and I don't want to leave my teaching yet complete my Master's.

Dear Poonam,

It is not that doing a master's in psychology will not give you any value. Normally, a full-time course has much more value than a part-time course. Apart from this, nothing else. Always remember that "Something is always better than nothing" ;)

Poonam,

If you are doing B.Ed, surely the psychology course will help you a lot to understand human attitudes and behaviors. Surely, you will understand your students well. So, there is a possibility of doing it through distance mode. If possible, please take the course. All the best.

Being an MBA in HR, currently working as a Sourcing Specialist (2+ years of experience), would it be worthwhile to pursue an MA in Psychology (Distance Mode)?

Please help. I will be very grateful.

Jaspreet,

As Mahr said, "Something is always better than nothing." But mostly, you are working with resumes more than human resources. If you are really interested, please go ahead.

Psychology is an interesting subject as it deals with human thinking and behaviors, deeply analyzing the reasons behind them. Whether pursuing distance or full-time education, what matters most is your interest and effort to learn. It definitely provides you with practical knowledge not only to interact with others but also to understand yourself better. So, go ahead and put in your 100% effort to learn. Additionally, watching videos available online can offer you a wide range of knowledge and keep you updated on the latest trends.

Hi,

Learning depends on individual efforts, capabilities, and commitment. There are people who are in part-time courses, who have dedication and have succeeded to greater heights. It all depends on your interest and passion. Psychology is truly a wonderful subject; it is an ocean that stimulates our learning. Being a psychologist, I have always been amazed by this field of science.

Happy learning and best wishes,
Poonam and Jaspreet

I agree with Ykhan. It doesn't matter where you are doing your studies, but it matters how much knowledge you are developing from the same. That's why the quote "something is better than nothing" is famous. Each action teaches us something new that we didn't know earlier.

Wishing you all the best and always try to step ahead with each passing second.
