Dear Mohana,
Take this opportunity as a challenge and face it boldly. Try to understand what you are supposed to do in your new position. Make a table diary of all the tasks you have to do from morning till evening, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual tasks. Communicate with supporting staff to maintain records, registers, and files for your verification. Create a list of tasks you must handle yourself based on the aforementioned schedule. Keep track of daily activities, processes, and interactions in your notepad. Before leaving the office, ensure that today's tasks are completed by your team and yourself. Prepare a list of tasks for the next day. Build a strong network with HR professionals, government officials, and other relevant stakeholders. Engage with functional heads, listen to their issues, and resolve them promptly. Informally meet employees at the workplace, listen to their concerns, or invite them to your office. Establish good rapport with them.
Stand firm on your decisions while being flexible without compromising organizational policies. If needed, propose amendments to rules that may hinder achieving the organization's objectives.
Regards & Good Luck,
