Hi All,

I am pursuing an MBA (4th Semester) and preparing for my interviews. Can anyone suggest what could be a wise answer when somebody asks why you joined an MBA and why HR?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Radhika,

Why MBA & HR?

Before I reply, all the best to you even though I have completed my Masters of Science in HR from ICFAI University recently.

Today, we are facing a global war with international brand names emerging in the Indian market. Knowledge of all spheres is important to understand the business interface running in the industry today. An MBA (Masters of Business Administration) has given me a better perspective to study the domestic and international market and further helped me understand how complex problems can be solved by using a specific skill set. This can be achieved by utilizing a combination of both functional skills and behavioral skills, which helps to create a win-win approach to any complex problem.

Specific to HR - I believe HR is like an Indian mother who cares during parturition, right from attracting, retaining, motivating, and developing. I am a people person and like to understand the psychology of individuals, further providing training after comprehending the core values of the organization.

I hope you got the answer.

Rest, pray for me. I am looking for a break in HR myself.

Regards,
