Hi all, I'm a junior in the HR field. I need guidance from all of you. Currently, I am confused about the differences between temporary employees and part-timers. I am working in an F & B company. There are two categories of employees, which include Full-Time and Part-Time.
Our part-time employees do not enjoy benefits, and they only work in our company for less than 3 months (until they decide to leave our company). Their daily working hours are the same as our permanent employees. However, they can resign anytime with a 24-hour notice, as they like.
Question: Is this type of employee actually considered as part-time or temporary?
