Leave Categories and Allocation
Leaves are generally of the following categories: Casual Leave, Sick Leave, and Privilege Leave. Some organizations also have Maternity and Paternity leave. The number can be specified depending on the management of any organization. Some companies follow a pattern where a bulk number, e.g., 40 days leave, is allocated, and the employee can choose to take them as desired. Some firms have clarity by categorizing leave types as SL/CL/PL with 7 leaves under each category.
As per the law, maternity leave is typically 90 days, and paternity leave is generally 7 working days.
