I am an academician from Pune who feels very passionate and satisfied while teaching mechanical engineering students and helping them graduate. I used to prioritize passion over monetary benefits, but now, with a growing family, I am desperately trying to switch to the IT or training industry. However, I am facing difficulties in this job hunt. Here are my challenges:

1. I am a mechanical engineer with no direct access to the IT industry.
2. At 28 years old, I am considered too old to be a fresher.
3. I am expecting a salary of around 40,000 INR per month, which may be challenging as my current salary is 35,000 INR.
4. I heard that IT industries do recruit experienced individuals from any stream. How can I present my candidature for roles in the IT industry?
