Struggling to Land a Job After 7 Campus Interviews: What Should I Do Next?

kull
Hi all,

I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Information Technology and I am set to graduate in 2010. I have been participating in campus interviews at my college, and here is the list of companies in which I have appeared:

1. Wipro
2. TCS
3. Infosys
4. InterraIT
5. R Systems
6. MothersonSumi Infotech

Unfortunately, I have not been selected by any of these companies. I have been diligently working towards my goal, but I am unsure of where I am falling short. Recently, my patience has worn thin, and I feel like I have lost all hope in securing a job opportunity.

I am seeking advice on how to proceed. I am currently doubting my career prospects and worry that I may never be selected by any company. What steps should I take next? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am eagerly awaiting your response.

Hi Kull,

Don't give up like this yaar... It's the campus recruitment process, and we all have gone through such situations during CRP.

You have to be confident and believe in yourself. There are so many companies; you can get selected in any one of them apart from these companies. Keep yourself ready for upcoming interviews, written tests, etc. Do self-analysis; you will find out where you are lacking.

I am sure you will get good placement very soon.

With All Best Wishes,

Friend, do a self-analysis. Sit down with a notebook and write down all the interview questions (all which you remember) from each company. After that, rate yourself on how you answered. You are the best judge.

Secondly, if you have close friends who are also going for these interviews, discuss your interview experiences with them and ask for their honest feedback.

Lastly, don't get discouraged. You are just getting started. Have patience and work hard. You'll do well.
