Navigating PhD in HR: How to Choose the Right Program and Understand Selection Criteria

mitchelle
Hi all,

Dear Seniors,

I am Michelle Khanna, done with my MBA in HR and Marketing from IIPM, and also pursuing M.A. in Economics from IGNOU. I am in my second year of MA and also working as an AM in HR in an SME (Construction Industry).

I am very keen to pursue a PhD in HR from IGNOU or any other institute or university that holds value for a PhD. I would like to know on what basis/criteria they select candidates for a PhD. How can one enroll in a PhD program? Is there any specific topic criteria for selection? If anyone has any good topics to discuss, please inform me. I also need information on the cost of pursuing a PhD and whether online or distance PhDs hold the same value as regular ones. If yes, please provide me with information on those universities.

I am waiting to hear from you. I am really in need.

There is no online PhD or distance learning. A PhD is not just about learning; it also involves unlearning what you have previously learned. It would be beneficial to speak with a couple of PhD holders for guidance.

One topic I can suggest is "The Effect of Pre-Placement Training Programs on Student Performance in Interviews."
