Can I Claim LTA Without Traveling If My Salary Isn't Taxable? Seeking Advice!

Hi,

I am receiving LTA allowances from my company, and my CTC is not taxable. As my salary is not taxable, I don't need to submit travelling bills. I have taken a one-month leave for my studies but have not traveled anywhere. So, I wanted to know if I can claim for LTA or not. I have pending LTA for two years.

Based on my understanding, it is at the discretion of the management as it is not a statutory deduction by the government. Please correct me if I am wrong by providing information from a reliable source.

If you are not falling under taxable income, there is no need to produce travel documents. You can claim.
