Understanding Labor License Requirements: How Many Workers Do You Need at a Site?

I run a security agency and deploy manpower at various sites that are interested in availing our services. What I want to know is: What is the minimum number of people to be employed at a particular worksite for the labor license? I have been informed by various sources that it is more than 5. I want clarification on whether it is a) 5 and more than 5, or b) more than 5. Please clarify.

The minimum number for taking a license is 20 or more as per The Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970.

For your information, CLRA License is not required for companies with less than 50 employees at the AP location. Please refer to the guidelines for Andhra Pradesh.

As per the AP Contract Labour Act, the applicability of Contract Labour License is for a minimum of 50 employees and above only. Less than 50 employees are not applicable.

What about Telangana state.
