This is approved by ESI Corporation, and now the bill will be passed by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Then, it will go to the President for signature. After the President's signature, only the notification will be issued.

Is it confirmed that they will increase the wage ceiling for ESIC? Do we need to wait until notification?

Dear Raja,

With effect from 1st May 2010, the ESI wage ceiling limit was increased from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000. For your information, the GO is from the Ministry of Labour.
