Confused About ESI Payments? Should We Pay in Advance Without Numbers?

Can someone inform us as to when to pay ESI and how much? We have recently started our outsourcing work and have applied for ESI and PF numbers. Our accounts person is advising us to pay a 6-month ESI amount in advance. Is it correct that we should pay ESI and PF amounts in advance without getting numbers.

You need not pay ESI or EPF in advance. Your establishment will become covered from the date mentioned in the letter informing you that you are covered. The letter also shows your establishment code number and the date from which contributions become payable. Therefore, you may wait until you receive the letter from the respective offices.

ESI and PF Contribution Deadlines

For ESI, the 21st is the last date for the monthly contribution. For PF, the 15th is the last date for the monthly contribution.
