Peternity Leave Policy For Men - Doc Download

I am working with an IT comapny.
I would like to know about peternity leave policy to implement in our company.
1.How many leaves they can avail?
2.Is this policy mandatory in every company?

Dear Jeesus,
Paternity leave as of now is not mandatory.
But many companies give it .
Usually it varies from three days to ten days.
It is restricted to two children in most of the cases.
Also rearely some companies consider giving paternity leave in case of miscarriage of wife. This will also vary from two days to seven days.
Some companies give a gift cheque of Rs.5000/- per child for two children along with paternity leave as well.

Dear Indira,
It is not mandatory for the company to give a paternity leave for their employees. However companies at times would give this which would be a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 7 days. In some companies they may also give some Gift like child insurance, Child care sets, etc depends on the employees status.

As I have already told you that it is not onto the law for the company to give a paternity leave to their employees, it would surely be applicable to companies in AP..

It is not mandatory for the company to give a paternity leave for their employees. However employees can avail thier CL or SL leave. In some companies they may also give some Gift depends on the employees status.

Indeed peternity leave policy for men is a must because the following points appended below help them feel happy at all times.
a) Husband who is really near to the wife is more happy to express what she wants.
b) A week's holiday has to be given which is a must.
c) Gifts like a sum of Rs 5000/- is a must where the husband feels a sense of belonging to the company he is working.
d) This leave is excluded from his CL or SL or a long vacation planned earlier.

Paternity Leave has become applicable to Government Employees. For details please refer earlier thread on same subject on citehr.
Paternity Leave is not mandetory for private sector.

pl guide meon this,
supppose a employee weekly off is on friday ,he goes on leave from saturday & resumes duty on next saturday,then will his friday be taken as weekly off as he worked on saturday,,,,,

i just need to know how many SL an employee is entitled (minimum) and how many EL(minimum)and other thing is their any rule or legality that we have to carry forward the unused SL's if so than to maximum how many days we can carry forward and when they lapse, pls keep in view the AP laws , (shops and Establishment Act)
