EL Calculations - in a month 4 days absent then we have to adjust 4 days absence and convert to EL leave

chander_kmr02
Dear All,

This is a query regarding EL calculation. If a worker is absent for 4 days in a month, we need to adjust the 4 days of absence and convert them to EL leave. My question is whether we should enter the actual days in the EL register plus the 4 days of absence to convert them to EL leave. Kindly advise.

Thanks,
Chander

Dear Chander,

You want to ask whether EL earned in this year is counted for calculating next year's EL leaves!

If yes, then the answer is that for the purpose of calculating eligibility for EL, they will be counted. However, to calculate EL's earned days, these days will not be included.

Hope I solve your query.

Hi to all,

Simple EL Calculation: Total number of days present / 20 = (###) e.g., 15 days. Basic + DA / 30 = Per day salary. Multiply 15 by the per day salary to get EL Salary. If laborers are involved, it means Basic + DA / 26.

Working Days = 22
Leave Days = 4
Last Month EL balance = 15
Adjusted Leave Type = EL
Current month EL Balance = 11 + 1 = 12

Now I think your doubt may be clear. EL for 20 days working in a month, 1 day creates balance. Now, the remaining balance is 22 - 20 = 2. These 2 days carry over to the next month's working days using the calculation.

Thanks and regards,
