Stuck with PF Withdrawal and Bank Account Change: How Can I Resolve These Issues?

prampras
Hi,

I have 2 issues:

1) I submitted my PF withdrawal form to the Delhi office (Nehru Place) in July. I have not received any intimation or the PF amount to date.

2) I have recently changed my bank account as well. I have closed the one which I had provided for PF withdrawal. Please help me resolve both my issues.

You have to personally verify from the office of the EPFO whether the cheque has been sent to the bank or not. If already sent, the bank would return it to the PF Office. In order to get the amount credited to your new account, you may have to furnish an affidavit or submit a fresh set of forms. It is better to meet the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner and apprise him of the situation.

Hi,

Please contact your previous employer and get attested on the reauthorization letter. You may mention the new bank account on that and submit it to RPFC.

Thank you for your response. I currently reside in Bangalore, so visiting the Delhi office in person is not feasible for me. Can you suggest an alternative solution?

Dear Prampras,

First, you need to visit the PF office where you have submitted your withdrawal forms. They will give you the status of your form. If your claim was pending due to the closing of your bank account, you can take the printout (attached) of the PF reauthorization form to fill in your recent bank account details and submit it to the PF office.

Hi friends, Thank you for the information provided by all of you and also the cite.hr site. My situation is similar to some of yours. My bank account, which I mentioned in my PF application form, was closed last month. It has been almost 6 months, and I am still waiting for my PF amount.

Reauthorization Form Process

I am in the process of downloading the reauthorization form. How long will it take to receive my PF money if I fill out this form and submit it to the PF office? Please inform me if this procedure will result in a quick resolution.

Hi all,

My issue has been resolved. The PF amount was lying in my closed account bank in the suspense account. Hence, I gave a letter to them and have received the DD for the same. Thanks a lot for your inputs.

Dear Prampras,

My case is also the same. Could you please tell me what a suspense account is? What type of letter did you submit to the bank in order to claim your amount?

Please let me know.

Thanks and Regards,
Ramana

Please help. I resigned from my previous job in February 2009. I applied for my PF in August 2010. When I checked with the PF office, I found out that my check was returned by my bank due to a wrong name. I reapplied in 2011. However, my claim was rejected, stating that it had already been settled. In the form, my name was given incorrectly. My previous company has wound up. Now, what should I do?

Guidance Needed for PF Claim Rejection

I have applied twice for my PF claim, but I have been informed that my request has been rejected. The issue seems to be a name mismatch between my bank account and PF records. In my previous company's records, my name is mentioned as Dijilraj Sreevalsam, while in my bank records, it is listed as Dhijilraj Naduparambil (this is the name on all my ID proofs). The first rejection letter from the PF office cited the above-mentioned reason. I then contacted my company, and following their guidance, I reapplied with the assistance of HR. They assured me that the issue would be resolved with some paperwork from their end. I submitted my application again in July. However, upon checking the claim status, I found that it has been rejected, and the rejection letter has been dispatched to my address.

I kindly request your guidance on how I can successfully claim my PF amount.

Dear all,

This is Kailash. I was working in a software company, and my salary was $10,000. My PF deduction was $1,091, and I have worked for 7.5 months. So, in total, my EPF balance is $10,469 (as shown in the m-epf app). Now, I want to withdraw my PF. Could you please let me know how much amount I may receive after all deductions?

Thank you.

I filled out the PF application form during my resignation and submitted it to the company, expecting them to forward it as usual. However, I did not receive my PF even after six months, so I contacted my company. They informed me that it had already been forwarded and advised me to wait. After multiple follow-ups, they directed me to call their main office. When I did, they told me to contact the same person I had initially spoken with. After one year and one month, I approached the PF office, only to be told they hadn't received any application. I contacted my company again, and they said they would check what happened, but it would take some days. During this time, they were unresponsive. I traveled from Kerala to Bangalore solely for this purpose, and upon my insistence, the company HR quickly processed everything, allowing me to apply at the PF office myself. By then, my bank account was frozen due to a low balance. After 2 to 3 days, I managed to reactivate my account. Currently, my PF is approved, but the check was canceled. Now, I need to submit a reauthorization form at the KR Puram PF office to receive the money. Please don't blindly trust companies. Could you please send me the reauthorization form?

On 3rd February 2018, I applied online to withdraw my PF, and the claim was approved. The status now reflects as settled on the portal. The issue is that the wrong bank account was entered while submitting the claim. I now wish to have the amount credited to my correct bank account.

Kindly suggest a solution for the same.

You may send a reauthorization letter duly signed by your previous employer. Please find the attachment.

One more thing that you have to do is to change the KYC in respect of your bank account in your profile in the member portal and get it approved by the employer.

As far as possible, submit it by going in person. You should also try to meet the person who is dealing with your account in the Accounts section and get it done. If you send it by post, you cannot ensure that it will be done, but if you go there and meet the concerned person, it will give results. For doing all these things, you need to have a thorough knowledge of all the terminologies in the form or the Act.

Hi, I'm Chetan. I have applied for PF advance withdrawal amount but still, I have not received the money. I received a message saying that my settled PF advance withdrawal amount will be credited within 3 working days on 6th February 2018. However, I have not yet received it. Upon checking my PF KYC, I noticed there is a mistake in the bank account details. Please advise on what steps I should take as there is only one number mistake.

Dear User,

Upon reviewing your message, I have identified some spelling and grammar errors that need correction:

"I have applied on 2/2/2018. I received a message on the 6th of February stating that your PF advance withdrawal amount will be credited within 3 working days. However, I have still not received my PF withdrawal money, and I have been issued the same cheque number."

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Thank you.

Sir, I applied for PF Form No. 31 for PF advance withdrawal online, and the claim was settled. However, there was a mistake in my bank account number in the PF record - it was one digit less. As a result, the PF claim amount was not credited to my bank account and is not showing in my PF passbook. When I checked the PF site for the claim status, it showed as settled but returned. Please help me with what I should do. I applied for home construction, so can I reapply for the same online or not? I have corrected my account number in my PF details now. However, my claim amount still does not show in my PF passbook.

I worked for 2 years at Big Bazaar. After resigning, I applied for my PF forms 19 and 10C for withdrawal. Initially, my claim status showed as settled, but I didn't receive the amount. Upon further checking, it indicated that the claim was settled but returned. I realized the bank account number was incorrect, so I corrected it and reapplied, but my application was rejected. I raised a grievance and was informed that I could apply through the employer in a reissue format. However, when I consulted my employer, they were unaware of the process and mentioned it could only be done online. I feel very helpless. Please advise me on the reissue format process. Kindly guide me.

In such cases, only offline application is possible. Before proceeding, you have to correct your bank account. This can be done online using your portal and getting the same approved by the employer.

Alternate way: If you have joined anywhere else, then transfer this account to that account. It is possible online.

Hi,

My PF office in Delhi (Dwarka office) informed me that my IFSC Code is different from the one in my KYC for PF. Last year, I changed my bank branch from Delhi to Chennai, and my account remains the same but the IFSC Code has changed. How can I update my new IFSC Code and branch in my PF KYC? Kindly assist me.

Thank you.
