Struggling to Get My PF After Resignation: What Steps Can I Take to Resolve This?

hvsingh
The company I was working for took resignations from everybody by making false promises and using pressure tactics. Everyone in middle management and lower-level staff had their accounts settled in full by receiving some small compensation. Union category workers received attractive compensation. This occurred in April 2009. However, none of the employees from the staff category have received their PF refunded.

As I was at a senior level, I resigned in December, and I fear that my PF will also be held up as it is all tangled up. The company gave the least importance to Payroll or HR functions, and the matter is unlikely to be resolved soon. I am no longer in full-time employment with any company and need the money to work out my retirement plan, even though I am 54 years old.

What remedial measures are available to press the company to refund my PF? The funds were deposited with the PF commissioner, and there is a mix-up in accounts. Where should I go or what should I do to get my PF? As far as I know, withholding PF payment is a serious offense. Please advise.

Please make a representation before the Asst/Regional Provident Fund Commissioner. Your PF will be settled.
