Confused About Gratuity Calculation After 6 Years at My Software Job in India? Let's Discuss

Hi,

I work for a software company in India for the past 6 years. I am a bit confused about the Gratuity I would get if I resign from the organization now.

Here are the Pay details (Monthly):

Basic: 18646
HRA: 9323
Adhoc Allowance: 13302
Others: 2500
(Edu, Conve, Med Allowance)

Is the above Adhoc allowance equivalent to DA? How much gratuity will I get if I resign from this company now?

Your payment of Gratuity can be worked out as follows:

Basic + DA / 30 * (No. of years * 15). I am not sure about the exact status of your DA.

Dear Srini,

"Ad hoc" is not equal to "D.A." Ad hoc has its own definition. Ad hoc will not be calculated in this; the rest are correct as per Nitin.

If in the salary structure there is no DA, then how do we calculate the Gratuity? Please inform me; it's very important.
