What is the difference between Form 12A and Form 3A?

---
Hi,

Sure, I can help with that. The difference between Form 12A and Form 3A lies in their purpose and the information they require. Form 12A is typically used for income tax returns filing purposes for charitable trusts or institutions. On the other hand, Form 3A is used for submitting details of employees' provident fund contributions.

In summary, Form 12A is related to income tax for charitable entities, while Form 3A deals with provident fund contributions of employees.

Form 12A is the monthly contribution statement of the organization, and 3A is the annual contribution statement of individual employees.

In Form 3A, how does the contribution appear? I mean, what is the method?

Why is one person's contribution for June reflected in the May Form 3A? Could you please clarify?

In Form 3A, contributions are shown in the month in which they are remitted. June's contribution will be calculated and deducted during the payroll preparation for June's salary, which will be in May. The remittance is also made in May. Thus, in Form 3A, June's contribution details are to be shown in May. This is done because March marks the end of the financial year, and remittances made after March cannot be considered in the annual statement. March remittance is usually made in April, which is the first month of the next financial year.

In form 3A col. of months means "return Month" and not wage month. Therefore, the contribution for the wage month of May will be shown as contribution for the (return) month of June. It starts with return month April, which shows the contribution of wage month of March and ends with return month of March, which shows the contribution of wage month of February.
