Hi Safeer,

It would not be advisable to conduct competency mapping without studying the industry you are in. Based on that research, shortlist and select the competencies most suitable for the industry and that would align with your company. Proceed with the mapping work based on this information. Otherwise, it would be a wasteful and time-consuming exercise that would not yield any benefits.

Dear Safeer,

What I can suggest is that you can use the attached questionnaire for competency mapping based on your company requirements. Additionally, you can modify it and make any necessary changes as suggested by the heads of different departments.

We are also engaged in providing strategic HR consulting solutions. We can provide guidance on this matter. Please feel free to contact me at 09377561255 with your company details for further discussion.

Thank you.

Competency Mapping: A Complex Simplicity
Competency Mapping is turning a simple concept into something as complex as rocket science, despite being based on common sense principles. It has been practiced for ages, yet today, a big fuss is being made about it.

Another perspective is that it is redundant. If competencies could be so easily replicated, we would have a million Michelangelos and Mozarts. Nature has its own secrets, and talent is a mysterious factor for each individual to explore and discover within themselves.
