Hi Vinod...
You have taken a right decision by taking up MBA ...
As it would take 2 years for distance education, why don't you try for Executive MBA, normally it completes within 1 year and has comparitively better value in market.
Anyway with your experience and your performance it may not make much of difference...
One advise : Start taking appreciation letter from your employer every time you acheive something or atleast start taking an appreciation letter at every quarter / yearly ends... It could be certificates / awards etc..
This would help you in future for proving to your prospective employers about your ability and performance claims.

dont quite agree with tht....coz from wt i have heard...its very hectic...n better to do 2 yrs.

i second ajmal's decision on gettin tht letter frm ur boss.
but i dont really understand y u wont get a job outside? anyway..all the best

1. 1 year full time MBA has better value than the correspondence course
2. The course is normally designed keeping in mind that the students are experienced persons and so it might be hectic for a fresher but an experienced person should be able to match the pace of the course. Further as only the relevent topics are covered under the course, the time taken to complete is much lesser.
3. "We learnt a lot from the experienced students of our batch" this is the statement of the an IIM-A, ex-student who is now a VP-Finance of an MNC. With correspondence course you don't get that kind of exposure.

If you think that you may not get any promotions better job profile within some stipulated time in this company, than it would be advisable to move to greener pastures.
otherwise
Stayback in the company while you complete your MBA as in newer job it would be difficult to take out time for studies.
Again the important aspect is that you have to grow within this time both professionally and academically, don't ignore one for another and it is upto you to do the balancing act.
Further, IT or ITES doesnot matter much, but if by ITES you mean call centres, I would suggest that you enter the industry only when you complete your MBA as once within the call centre industry, it would be really difficult finding time for studies.
