Pallavi.Pande
Dear Members,

I am a fresher and just joined as an HR executive in a manufacturing company. I want to know how to fill ESIC and PF challans. What are the necessary things to be known while filling the challans?

Hi Pallavi,

Please find enclosed attached herewith ESIC & EPF Challan format in Excel. I hope it will be helpful for you.

ESIC:
Employee Contribution: 1.75% of Gross Salary (To be deducted, round up)
Employer Contribution: 4.75% of gross salary up to 10,000/- per month. I have heard that the ESIC ceiling has been raised from 10,000 to 15,000, but the effective date is not confirmed. Please confirm this carefully.

EPF:
A/c 1: 3.67% of the basic + DA up to 6500/- (employer contribution)
A/c 1: 12% of the basic + DA up to 6500/- (employee contribution)
A/c 2: 1.10%
A/c 10: 8.33%
A/c 21: 0.5%
A/c 22: 0.01%
Total: 25.61%

With Best Regards

Hi Pallavi,

As mentioned above, Mr. Puneet has provided you with all the details. I agree with that, but there are some other allowances that will not be deducted in ESIC. For example: Washing Allowances, Tea Allowances.

Thanks & Regards,
Kishor
