Rajshree Pradhan
Dear All,

Kindly let me know whose responsibility it is (the company or the employee) to follow up on the matter of the EPF withdrawal status after sending the documents to the EPF office.

Please check your bank account regularly. If payment is not received, go to the EPFO office with the acknowledgement and inquire why the matter is pending.

Dear Rajshree,

I feel that it is the company's responsibility to check and inform the employee regarding the status. However, most companies don't do this. You can directly walk into the PF office, get the token for status inquiry, write the PF number, and give it to them. Immediately, they will let you know the status.

No company is only responsible to fill and attest the withdrawal claim. Once it is submitted for settlement, it becomes the claimant's responsibility to get the update from the PF office.
