Need Help Calculating My Pension: Can You Guide Me Through the Process?

Last 12 Months Average Salary: 6,500/-

November 1995 Salary: 2,323/-

Date of Birth: 22-10-1951

58 years completed date: 21-10-2009

I am a physically handicapped person and have worked for 5 years in a private company. They have deducted PF from my salary. Can I withdraw my PF amount or get a scheme certificate? If I obtain that certificate, will I be eligible for a pension? Is there any relaxation in the pension service period for physically handicapped individuals? Please explain to me.

Can I file for EPS when my final settlement of the PF amount with my last employer is pending with PF authorities in Maharashtra?

You may apply for a pension immediately, which is due from 10.10.2005. You will receive a pension of Rs.988. The details of the calculation are as follows:

Past Service Calculation

- Past service (19.9.1972 to 15.11.1995) - 23 years
- Slab on Past Service for 23 years - 170 - (1)
- Multiplying Factor as per Table B - 2.077 - (2)
- Past Service Benefit (1) x (2) - 353 - (3)

Pensionable Service Calculation

- Pensionable Service (16.11.95 to 31.7.96) - 1 year
- Pension for 1 year (1 x 6500/70) - 93 - (4)
- Minimum pension - 635 (5)
- Pension for service after 16.11.95 - 635 (whichever is higher among (4) & (5)) - (6)

Total Pension Calculation

- Total Pension (3) + (6) - 353 + 635 = 988.

I had applied for EPS by filling out the form as suggested. I hope something will come out of it. Meanwhile, I requested a PF statement of account. I left India in 1996 since there was a mistake in the PF statement received from my company, and I had written to them, but no reply was received from the PF authority. Now, I received an answer that all PF accounts had been settled in 1997-1998, and records were destroyed in response to my request for a statement to check the status through my bank. During the period of 1997-98, I was not in India. I had sought details through RTI.

What is the best course of action for me to proceed to get details?

Dear Mr. Abbas, I am also from the ITI family. I joined ITI, RBL in May 1987 and was transferred to ITI, Bangalore in October 1999. I superannuated from ITI on the 30th of April 2013. Could you please provide me with information on the pension I will receive and a breakdown of the same?
