What do you mean by an indemnity letter from a referee? Do you mean a letter from the referee stating that the candidate is known to him and that if the candidate is appointed, he will take complete ownership of him while employed in someone's company? Furthermore, if that employer incurs any loss due to the said employee, the referee will indemnify the employer for such losses. How can you ask for such an indemnity letter?
I do not think this is possible because no person can take ownership of another person who is not related to him, even if they are related. Being a Personnel Manager, I have a database of many employees, of which many are extremely competent in their work and conduct. However, I cannot predict when their attitude might change. Human behavior can change unexpectedly. A good worker today may become a poor worker due to various reasons.
Given this, how can someone provide a letter stating that a specific person is known to them for so many years, and if this person is employed in your establishment and you subsequently suffer any losses due to their conduct, the referee shall compensate or indemnify you.
