I would not advise wasting your money on SAP certification at the initial stage. Instead, consider undergoing SAP training from local institutes that provide placements and working in the field for 2 to 3 years. Even with certification, finding a job is challenging due to the current market conditions, especially for freshers. Please think carefully before investing your hard-earned money.

SAP Certification will cost you Rs. 2.5 Lakhs approximately. There are only two licensed partners, Siemens and Genovate. If you have very good academics and experience, then also in initial days you might have to struggle as doing certification in itself is not sufficient, as most of the companies ask for experienced individuals, and no one is ready to pick up freshers. If you want to verify this, then open any job portal like naukri.com, monster.com, jobsahead, timesjob, etc., and you will realize that since the last few months, there have been no openings for freshers. It seems the market is saturated now.

Can anyone please suggest if it is worth spending 3 lakhs to get SAP certification from Siemens? I have enquired from other institutes which are providing this training for only Rs 15,000, but they say that the certificate would be from NASSCOM. I am really not able to decide whether I should go for the expensive one or the cheaper one. What would be the benefits if I go for the expensive one from Siemens? Please help me, friends.

Certifications in SAP are provided only by authorized partners of SAP, which are Siemens and Genovate. Even if you go for certification, you wouldn't be getting a job in SAP in India as the demand is only for experience.

Get training in the module you are interested in, work for 2 years, and then you can appear for the certification exam at a cost of 25k-30k. The training would cost you (without certification) about 20,000 rs - 50,000 rs, depending on the institute.

If you get training from an institute that charges 10,000 Rs, believe me, the trainers wouldn't be real-time trainers. If you require any further information, you can contact me as I am an SAP Consultant myself.

Every new craze is costly; like computers, when invented, were not within reach even for well-to-do persons, and now they are quite cheap. Similarly, if we look at the rates of mobile phone calls when introduced in India, they were Rs. 16.00 and Rs. 8.00 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls respectively, and now you can see the rates have drastically decreased with free unlimited incoming calls.

Likewise, the cost of SAP will also decrease significantly when the SAP inventors are able to garner huge registrations of trainees and fill up their coffers to the edge.

Certainly, the value of individuals getting training now will be much higher than those managers who have not learned SAP. Additionally, there will be no additional value for a person learning at a later date when it becomes a compulsory subject for every management stream. Furthermore, the old managers without SAP qualification may become redundant when well-qualified managers are inducted into the industry.

You can consider the cost, whatever it may be, as an investment for the sake of your career.

Dear Deepti,

SAP Training for Rs. 15,000 with a NASSCOM Certificate is better than Rs. 3,00,000 training from Siemens. You can compare the costs of everything in India and Germany (Siemens' country), and you will understand the difference. So, it is foolish to invest 20 times with a foreign company.

I'm into SAP Recruitments, and as far as my knowledge is concerned, certification should be done from a reputed institute such as SAP Labs, Genovate, Siemens, and Delphi. As mentioned earlier, there are institutes that offer training, dummy projects, and even assure placements for just 10-15k, but these are neither worth it nor reliable.

I would recommend taking training from good institutes (not those mentioned above). These can be local institutes that you can evaluate by meeting the model expert. If you find it worthwhile, complete the training program, and then you can get certified by SAP by paying the examination fee, which is 25,000, and passing it. To clear the examination, you need to score 60%; scoring 59% means you have to reappear.

While Google can be a reliable guide for study material, I believe it would be cost-effective and valuable as well.

First, I want to mention that it's Reliance Global Services (RGS) in Hyderabad, and it's, of course, a good institute for SAP training. The quality depends on the module you want to pursue and the duration. If you prefer studying from a different location, RGS has three branches in India (Hyderabad, Pune, and Bangalore). Additionally, there are many institutes like "Yes Technologies," "Unisoft," "Vcentric," and many more in South India for SAP training. However, it's clear that none of these institutes will provide you with a certification program.

In India, certification costs are expected to decrease soon, but you may have to wait until the year-end. If you want to pursue certification immediately, choose an e-learning program from any SAP education channel partner. Previously, Singapore offered certification without any course fee, and many people moved there to enroll and easily obtain certification. The current scenario has changed, but Dubai is still open to all. My advice is to first learn SAP from a reputable institute, gain 1-2 years of real-time experience, and then pursue certification outside India. Hi all, Recently, I heard that SAP has introduced a two-week course for which they are charging 1.2 lakhs. Also, SAP has now opened direct certification training. So, all of you, please wait for a few months. We will get certification training at a lower cost. Don't worry.

My sincere advice is: don't do a SAP course in an unauthorized center. It's a total waste—you won't get placements, and it's a waste of time and money. If you really want to do it, choose an authorized center.

What about FutureSoft Training Institute (Welcome to Futuresoft) for SAP HR? They are charging Rs. 40K for a 3-4 months course. I have 3 years of experience in HR. Now, I am planning for SAP certification. Please suggest.
