Can I Transfer My Pension Fund to My New Job's PF Account? What Steps Should I Take?

shajipd
Hi,

I worked with a partnership firm for around 8 years and resigned to join a new company that does not offer a PF option. Consequently, I have withdrawn my Provident Fund from my PREVIOUS COMPANY. However, I have not withdrawn my pension fund yet.

My current company now provides PF. I am wondering if it is possible to transfer the Pension Fund from my previous employer to my current employer. If yes, what procedure do I need to follow, or whom should I approach for the transfer of the Pension Fund?

Thank you.

Dear Shaji,

It is possible to transfer your previous service to a club with the present service. You need to submit Form 13 to the present Office of Regional PF Commissioner through your current employer. They will then forward it to the previous PF Commissioner's Office and will get it back.

Pension Fund Transfer Inquiry

Is there a way to transfer the Pension Fund from a previous employer to the current employer? In all my previous PF transfers, I've only received the PF amount. I am not sure where they keep the pension amount. I have completed 8 years and 2 months of service in my previous organization and have been with my current organization for 2 years. Can I consolidate my total service to become eligible for a pension? Any help on the following points would be greatly appreciated.

Questions on Pension Fund Transfer

- Can we transfer the Pension fund from one account to another?
- If the PF account was settled a long time ago, are we still eligible to withdraw/transfer our pension fund associated with that PF account?
- Could someone please assist me with the process of withdrawing/transferring the Pension fund (e.g., different forms)?

Thanks in advance!!!
