Dear Seniors,
I am manager operations of an IT company. have a quick question regarding PF. whenn an employee leaves an organisation, what are the formalities required to be done by the employer. is there any form to be submitted at the provident office with the details of the provident fund of the employee? Request you to kindly guide me the procedure of PF.
thanks!

Dear Rupali,
The claim should be submitted after two months from the date of leaving services.
Employee has to submit PF withdrawal form (i.e. form 19 and 10C) duly signed and stamped by the authorized signatory of the company to the PF Department.
If the job period is less then six months then there is no need to fill form 10C (as it will not applicable)
Hope it will meet your requirements.
You can also download the respective forms and more information from Citehr itself or from the EPFO (employee provident fund organization) website.

Form 5 indicating details of employees qualifying for membership of the provident fund for the first time during the month. This form is submitted along with form 12A, Form 5, form 10 and Challans for the remitting the dues.
