Medical Insurance Policy For Employees

In our company Sum Insured for Health Insurance Policy is only Rs. 12000 /- for a year. We would like to increase this amount. can i be suggested what should be the minimum amount for health insurance poliy for employees.

Sum Insured of Rs.12000/- is very less. There is no criteria as what should be min amount but looking at current social and economic scenario any medical insurance above rs. 50k to 1 lac should be fine. Hi Poonam: With the rate of Medical inflation being at 22- 25 % per annum, I can assure you that serious ailments and complicated surgeries will not be covered in this amount.
Request that you do a benchmarking study though a professional insurance expert on cost of treatments and benefits provided amongst competitor organisations to arrive at an appropriate level of insurance cover.
