  1. Hold an open house or an in-house job fair. Invite schools, county or state job developers, and others in the community to attend.
  2. Contact Urban League, Youth Employment Programs and Private Industry Council in your area. These are wonderful training organizations that offer free placement assistance.
  3. Go online and search the internet. Post your openings on free and fee-based bulletin boards such as Monster.com, Careerpath.com or pdqcareers.com.
  4. Contact local government job banks for free referrals. All states have aggressive welfare-reform goals and may be a source of employees.
  5. Call the Veterans Administration and Rehabilitation Agency. They can refer some very capable people.

Great post. In hind sight, when you think about it this is mostly common sense. What do you do though when you have a bad manager who is causing dis harmony and disfunctionality within a small team.

Hi,
Thanks these are all good tips, even when a person practices the same but when these are presented in paper it feels good to take and motivate ourself. I once again thanks for this.
Can you pls. tell me though we hire people on the following grounds, but we may some times end up in misjudging the persons that we will come across after some period.
Would like to know that the organisation should send him/her out or how to go about this?
regards,
rajesh
